The Buddha Memorial Center was constructed to enshrine the Buddhas tooth relic. As the name suggests, the Main Hall is the major building at the BMC and it is where the Buddhas relic resides. Indeed, the building represents Sakyamuni Buddha. Both the structure and contents are in accordance with Venerable Master Hsing Yuns statement, "Through the integration of both the traditional and contemporary, and of both Indian and Chinese cultures, the exhibitions combine cutting-edge multimedia technology with beautiful Buddhist works of art and historical artifacts to attract the public, so that they may then accept the Buddhas teachings."
